Prayer Philosophy
We believe that prayer should be at the very core of our church’s being. It is the primary way in which we call upon God to direct us, empower us, and to transform us into the likeness of Jesus Christ.
Included in our life of prayer are prayer vigils, prayer during Board of Elders meetings, prayer for worship services, prayer teams, prayer for the sick, intercessors praying for our church staff and leaders, and praying for our neighborhoods. We want to pray before, under, over, and through everything we do.
In Need of Prayer?
"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working."
James 5:16, ESV
Prayer Network & Partners
Lakeview Prayer Network regularly receives prayer requests by group texts for which network members pray in confidence.
Prayer Partners also pray with church attendees around each church service and provide spiritual support for our Pastors and leaders.
All prayer partners must be Lakeview members and have opportunities for intercessory prayer training. For more information, please contact us.

Prayer Quilts
The Prayer Quilt Ministry is an outreach ministry that combines the gift of prayer with the gift of a hand-tied quilt. Unlike many other organizations that make quilts for charitable causes, the purpose our ministry is not to make and distribute quilts, but to promote prayer through the use of quilts.
Our motto is: "It's not about the quilt; it's all about the prayers."
The idea behind these prayer quilts is simple. A heavy thread is used to take stitches through the quilt layers, and the ends are left free to be tied with square knot. As each knot is tied, a silent prayer is said for someone in special need, who then receives the finished quilt.
You don't have to be a quilter to help in our ministry. If you are looking for a fun and fulfilling way to serve, come meet our group!
To request a quilt, join our ministry, or for more information - please contact Leane Mangold.
Bee Crafty Together
We meet to create knitted, crocheted, or sewn items - like Prayer Shawls, Lap Robes or Blankets, Hats, and Post surgical comfort pillows to donate to local organizations such as assisted living facilities and charities such as Linus Project.
We meet monthly on Fridays at our workshop in Holiday, off of Grand Boulevard.
For information on meeting times, and for directions to our workshop, please contact Leane Mangold.
Prayer Walk
Connect with God and His beautiful creation as you walk around our lake in prayer, seeking His guidance and blessings for yourself and interceding for others. The Holy Spirit will use sights, sounds, and smells to flood your awareness and prayers with significance.
The walk is filled with benches, prayer prompts and scriptures to enhance your experience and give you a special time to talk with your Savior. The walk is available anytime to enjoy on your own and structured prayer walks are offered strategically over the year by our Lakeview prayer partners.
